Great to meet you!
My name is Ann Kamanga MSN APRN PMHNP-BC, and I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have over seven years of experience working in mental health and have had the opportunity to support individuals through a wide range of mental health challenges and stages of treatment.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salem State University and my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Rivier University. My clinical experience includes inpatient psychiatric care, crisis management, substance use treatment, and medication management.
As a provider, I believe that mental health care should be compassionate, individualized, and collaborative. I take the time to listen to each person's concerns and understand their experiences, rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where clients feel respected, heard, and involved in their treatment.
I have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, trauma-related concerns, substance use and other psychiatric conditions. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing support while working together with each client to establish realistic and meaningful treatment goals.
I truly believe that seeking help is a sign of strength, and I am committed to meeting each client where they are with compassion, understanding, and without judgment.
