Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Ann Legierski, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Palm Springs, California, with 14 years of experience as a therapist. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California and offer virtual therapy to adults (ages 18+) and couples throughout the state of California.

My foundational clinical experience began by treating individuals and groups navigating substance use disorders and addictions, particularly where they co-occur with complex mental health challenges. Over the years, I have expanded my practice to specialize in a wide range of areas, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family dynamics, building self-confidence, navigating medical problems, and supporting clients through end-of-life transitions. I am also proud to provide an explicitly supportive, affirming space for the LGBTQI+ community, including those exploring gender identity and sexual orientation.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach is deeply person-centered and intentionally adaptable. Because no two clients are the same, I draw from a diverse toolkit to customize our work together. I am deeply committed to providing a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment that respects all cultural and religious backgrounds.

Rather than just focusing on symptoms, my goal is to foster a sense of curiosity and self-awareness that allows you to heal and grow at your own pace. To help you get there, I lean into an integrative blend of evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Humanistic and Existential Therapies

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a powerful vehicle for change, and I know firsthand how transformative the process can be. During our time together, you can expect an engaging, warm, and authentic communication style. I bring a healthy balance of direct feedback and deep empathy to our conversations, ensuring you feel both supported and gently challenged to reach your goals.

I invite you to bring your full self into the room, and together, we will build a trusting therapeutic connection that helps you learn how to heal, change, and create a life full of genuine purpose and meaning.
