Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring a unique perspective to therapy through an uncommon journey from science to counseling. Holding a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Virology, I transitioned mid-career to the field of mental health out of a deep curiosity about the human condition and a desire to help others find meaning, balance, and resilience in their lives. I am passionate about working with adults navigating life’s many challenges—from managing anxiety and addressing the inner critic to coping with stress and life changes such as job-related burnout, career transitions, bereavement, stepping into a caregiving role, or adjusting to a new health diagnosis.”

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect. My focus is to help clients build on personal strengths, practice self-compassion, and find new ways to think and cope. My goal is to meet each client where they are and to create a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can unfold at their own pace.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about getting acquainted. I want to hear your story and understand what brings you here. You’ll also be able to ask any questions and get a better understanding of what to expect as we work together.
