Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor serving individuals and couples in Texas. I have been practicing for over 4 years with the majority of my focus spent treating individuals recovering from trauma and PTSD related to experiences of childhood and adult physical, sexual and emotional abuse. I have recently shifted my focus to helping individuals and couples navigate the vulnerable seasons of infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum. Through my own experiences with infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum, I recognized the need for support in these transitions. I have specialized training in Fertility Counseling, Perinatal Mental Health, and Trauma treatment. I work with all genders, ages 14+.

In my personal life, I am a wife, and mom of a wild toddler. I spend my free time riding my horse, hiking, painting, and training in martial arts. Being in nature, with my family and dogs, is my happy place.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is founded in strength and empowerment, while also providing a gentle holding space for my clients' painful experiences. I believe in my clients' resilience, even in the toughest moments of life. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches to help clients move through emotions, find meaning and renewed purpose for the future. I often incorporate Cognitive and mindfulness therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy alongside somatic techniques to heal the mind and body connection that can be disconnected through perinatal experience and trauma.

I also combine my qualifications as a trauma therapist and 10+ years of martial arts training to provide a unique approach to trauma recovery. For clients who have experienced interpersonal violence, I often incorporate Trauma Informed Self Defense training in session to enhance empowerment, increase safety and confidence, and heal the mind-body connection.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about getting to know each other, learning where you are coming from, and exploring where we are headed in your healing journey. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you are coming in with very heavy life experiences. This is a low pressure meeting where you can dip your toe into sharing. You may not know where to start or what you want out of our time together yet, and that is OK! We will talk about the therapeutic process, answer any questions you have, and address any fears or concerns. I
