Great to meet you!

I’m a laid-back, supportive clinician who believes therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and never pressured. I meet clients where they’re at—whether you’re coming in with a clear goal, feeling overwhelmed, or not quite sure where to start. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable, and we’ll build a plan together.

I began my professional career in 2012 with the Department of Corrections. From there, I worked in county services, crisis services, competency restoration, and later transitioned into outpatient therapy, along with additional roles that expanded my experience and clinical approach.

I am a proud member of the following professional affiliations: National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA), and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, structured, and tailored to each client’s needs—creating a supportive environment where insight, skill-building, and healing can occur.

I take a holistic approach to care, believing healing happens when the mind, body, and nervous system all work together. My own challenges have deepened my appreciation for living in the moment and noticing the “tone” we carry—our energy, stress level, and how it affects the way we think, feel, and connect. I first meet clients where they're at and use any approach that is the best fit, as there is no one-size-fits-all experience. Over the years, I've dedicated a significant amount of time to learn advanced specialized training in various areas. I help clients build practical skills to ground themselves in the present, regulate emotions, and create a steadier balance.

What you can expect from me

When I first meet with a client, I use a few different approaches depending on what they need in that moment. I pay close attention to the person’s energy, comfort level, and readiness.

For some people, the first session is a space to “get it all out”—to finally unload what they’ve been holding in and put words to what’s been suppressed for a long time. For others, a more structured approach feels safer and more helpful, so we may start with a biopsychosocial assessment to gather the essential information (history, symptoms, supports, stressors, and goals).

Either way, my focus is the same: to understand the full picture and collaborate with you on the best therapeutic options moving forward. After we review a summary of what’s bringing you in, we’ll work together to choose an approach that fits you and your goals.

A large part of my work is trauma-focused and includes EMDR (Phase 1 & 2) and advanced EMDR training, including EMDR Sand Tray, and specialized EMDR approaches for persons aged 6 and older.

I’m also trained in working with complex trauma and dissociation, and I use skills from DBT to help with emotion regulation, anxiety, overwhelm, and staying grounded when life feels like too much.

I also have additional training in working with more complicated personality patterns (like Cluster B concerns), so treatment can feel clearer, steadier, and more effective.

And because I’m always learning, I’m currently working toward a couple of additional credentials, including Food as Medicine and Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist training.
