Great to meet you!

I am a DBT-certified therapist with over 14 years of clinical experience working with adults across a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences in clinic, psychiatric hospital, and community-based settings. I specialize in trauma and PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder, depression, mood disorders, and the complex emotional wounds that come from being hurt by someone close to you — a parent, partner, or trusted person in your life. Healing is possible, and you don't have to keep carrying this alone — I'd be honored to support you on that journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I primarily draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients process difficult experiences, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop healthier coping strategies. As a certified DBT therapist, I help clients build practical skills to identify unhelpful patterns and create real, lasting change. My style is warm, validating, and judgment-free — because feeling truly heard is the foundation of meaningful healing.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will feel like a mix of warm conversation and intentional exploration — a space where you can begin to feel comfortable while I start to understand your story. My main goals are to build genuine rapport and gather a meaningful picture of your history, experiences, and what brought you to therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at once; we move at a pace that feels right for you. Depending on where you are in your journey, we may begin identifying goals and a general direction for our work together, but above all, I want you to leave that first session feeling heard, seen, and hopeful.
