Great to meet you!

My clinical approach to healing is grounded in ongoing engagement with interdisciplinary scholarly work in the fields of psychology, sociology and psychoanalysis that informs my perspective not only on individual, but also on social and cultural aspects of human experience.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to treatment can best be described as relational and psychodynamic. This means that I see relationships as formative and central to individual well-being and emotional health. In addition, it means that I see people as motivated by a variety, and at times, contradictory needs and desires. Understanding relationships between often competing needs/desires and how they affect close relationships can be both transformative and relieving at the same time.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect to feel seen and heard, but more importantly my intention is to help you gain interpersonal and emotional skills that will allow you to see yourself in a different light and gain a new emotionally grounded understanding of what troubles you.
