Great to meet you!

I know well that starting therapy can feel formidable and thoroughly overwhelming, and on occasion, the absolute hardest step of all is merely beginning. In spite of that, you are here, and you are actively setting out on your personal journey to heal and reconstruct. I warmly invite the opportunity to communicate with you and learn how I might best help you. My professional style is kind, deeply empathetic, and shared.

My approach to therapy

Although my basic orientation to treatment is psychodynamic, I often employ an integrative approach that includes psychodynamic, relational and cognitive methods, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and body work modalities. I am passionate about the application of mind-body practice in mental health. Psychotherapy has the potential to increase understanding of the powerful influences of our past and to provide insight into how and why they have an impact on our present behaviors and beliefs.

What you can expect from me

We will work as a team to develop adaptive coping strategies for life’s frequent stressors, including clinical depression, anxiety, life-altering transitions, grief, and relationship conflict. I strongly believe that you are the expert on your own life and needs, and it is crucial that we collaborate on the most specific, personalized way to help you achieve your goals, pursue healing, and rebuild your confidence and stability.
