Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with two decades of experience managing complex, chronic diseases. I specialize in the treatment of mental health in the context of challenging systemic conditions such as cancer, autoimmune disease, chronic pain, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, fibromyalgia, and ME/CFS. My passion is providing wrap-around support for individuals with conditions that fall through the cracks in our current healthcare system. Challenging conditions require patience, compassion, and commitment from healthcare providers. My goal is to walk those difficult journeys with my clients, while providing the highest quality treatments available.

My approach to therapy

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the core of quality healthcare. I use a combination of medication management, therapy, and education, as well as broader case management and specialist referrals. In some cases, a new treatment or referral can create a breakthrough in the course of a client’s disease. Yet, experience shows me that in every case, a consistent and supportive patient-provider relationship yields significant improvements in wellbeing over time.

What you can expect from me

I am committed to listening. The stories that you tell me about your health are important to me and they form the basis for our work together. I typically start with a one-hour initial visit so that I have time to fully hear your story and understand your symptoms. In my practice, you will never be dismissed, disbelieved, or shamed. We will work together to find solutions that are right for you. Lastly, I am committed to staying up to date on the conditions I treat. I routinely attend conferences, consult new research, and use current best practices in my clinical work.
