Great to meet you!

Helping women trade overwhelming anxiety, debilitating overthinking, and feeling not good enough or are an imposter for solid confidence and purpose in who they are is what I am most passionate about. I know that what many consider to be weaknesses can also become tremendous strengths that help them make huge changes to create a more meaningful and satisfying life. I am also passionate about helping women who have past childhood trauma break free and find meaning and vitality.

Originally, my career had been in accounting, business, and finance where I taught college accounting, was a financial advisor/stockbroker, and corporate accountant. My heart for helping people led me to become a certified integrative nutrition health coach for 5 years before realizing I wanted to help even more which led me into mental health counseling. Although I earned my bachelor's degree in accounting, I got my master's degree in Professional Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have since worked with a broad range of clients of all ages with varied concerns and disorders in mental health and substance use. I love to learn and believe that knowledge can be powerful so I have training in several therapeutic techniques, including Christian life coaching, somatics, clinical hypnosis, EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also have special interest in training dogs for service dog work and therapy dog work and my own therapy dog, Storm, who is an Australian Shepherd.

My approach to therapy

I have an eclectic and integrative approach to therapy. I blend several theories to promote deep emotional processing (IFS, EMDR, DBT) coupled with cognitive shifts (CBT, ACT) and embodiment (somatic) to use emotions to empower you. This helps you heal from the past, reconnect with all the parts of yourself, and take values-based action towards a meaningful life.

What you can expect from me

Through a value-centered approach and using a variety of clinical theories, I can guide you in processing your emotions, reframing limiting beliefs, and building unshakeable confidence. Our work together is more than just healing - it's about rediscovering your true self, aligning with your values, and stepping boldly into a renewed sense of purpose, peace, and empowerment.
