Great to meet you!

I grew up in the 1970s. I attended public schools in California, Washington DC, and Paris, France. My languages of fluency are English, Spanish, and French.

I have worked providing social and mental health services in programs that served: people experiencing depression and anxiety, teenagers dealing with pregnancy and substance abuse, people with AIDS, survivors of partner abuse and sexual abuse, adults in recovery from addictions.

I love the arts. I cohabitate with a cat.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Clients find me to be curious about their experiences and respectful of their readiness to share difficult information. My theoretical approach is eclectic, and I incline towards humanistic and cognitive.

I have a strong sensitivity to issues of anxiety and past trauma. My focus is always about the process of healing and empowerment. Attachment and communication concerns may be addressed.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients I have worked with have expressed a sense of relief in knowing that they are heard. My style is interactive and conversational, so clients normally feel relaxed while talking with me. Clients have said they were able view their lives with a new perspective after our sessions.
