My name is Anne (Annie) Camerino, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and South Carolina. As a millennial therapist, I’ll bring my authenticity to the counseling chair. This means I'll provide evidence-based skills, practical tools, and occasional reminders that “boundaries” are more than a buzzword.

I have significant experience helping healthcare providers, Millennials, and Gen Zers to better manage burnout, stress, and major life transitions. I enjoy (and have had substantial success) working with clients who are interested in improving their self-esteem, body image, people-pleasing tendencies, values-identification, skin-picking behaviors, avoidance behaviors, communication skills, intimacy, and intrusive thoughts.

I believe each client has a unique “love language” in therapy—some need direct challenge and accountability, while others benefit more from patience, encouragement, and space to explore. My approach to therapy is collaborative, eclectic, and client-centered. We’ll move at your pace and focus on the concerns that matter most to you. My goal is to tailor the therapeutic process to your uniqueness so that you feel equipped, and empowered to grow.

In our first appointment I want to hear your story. In order to best understand your needs and your journey thus far, I'll first gather some background info (i.e. medical and mental health history, family background, education history, work history, etc).

Towards the second half of our appointment we'll discuss what you're hoping to gain from counseling, what you can expect during our time together, my recommendations for frequency of appointments, etc. As we wrap up our first appointment, I'll ask you to consider your three primary goals for counseling. These goals can be specific or general, short term or long term-it's completely up to you.

In our second appointment we'll discuss your goals, why they're important to you, and how we might go about achieving them. I'll help you clarify and summarize the goals if you're looking for guidance.

After our first session I’m confident you'll feel heard, and after our second session you can expect to feel hopeful.
