Great to meet you!

I graduated with a masters in professional counseling from Georgia State university and continued on to become a licensed professional counselor and a licensed clinical addiction counselor in NC, DC and CO. I have been in the field of mental health for over 17 years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is integrative. I subscribe to an existential theory of thought with integrated techniques depending on the needs of the client. Dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy are a few of the theories I draw upon. I also utilize many therapeutic techniques such as breath work and guided relaxation exercises and mindfulness skills.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe people are capable of reaching their best potential when given the right support and tools for change. The goals of counseling will be based on each client individually according to his/her specific concerns and reasons for entering into counseling
