Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10+ years of diverse, lived, and work experience with adults navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, co-occurring disorders, and life transitions. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am licensed in Connecticut. I've worked across outpatient/community mental health/private practice and now offer telehealth sessions. My approach treats you as a whole person, not a diagnosis, and we always start by building genuine trust.

My approach to therapy

I take an integrative approach, drawing on CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices, all grounded in a person-centered foundation. Rather than relying on a rigid method, I follow your lead and adapt to your needs. Some sessions focus on shifting unhelpful thought patterns; others explore practical tools or clarify what change means to you. When clients are managing substance use alongside mental health challenges, I bring a consistently nonjudgmental, collaborative stance. My role is to help you clarify what you want and support you in getting there.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about building a foundation. I'll guide us through four areas: your history with mental health and substance use, and what's brought you to therapy now; your current state and how things show up day to day; your motivation, what's different about this moment, and what you hope will change; and your relationships and environment, including your support system and the settings that affect your well-being. You don't need to arrive with everything figured out. By the end, you'll have a clear sense of how I work and whether I feel like the right fit.
