Great to meet you!

I take a holistic, whole-person approach to wellness and have a background in fitness and nutrition after spending 14 years as a personal trainer. I’m also a children’s book author, animal lover, and big believer that therapy should feel human. I strive to create a relaxed, genuinely non-judgmental space where you can be yourself, use humor, and never worry about saying the “wrong” thing....or swearing 😉

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, highly collaborative, and sometimes a little humorous because therapy doesn’t ALWAYS have to feel clinical and rigid. I use evidence-based approaches including EMDR, ERP, ACT, and trauma-focused interventions, with plenty of psychoeducation along the way. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also gently challenge you when needed. My goal is for you to understand the “why” behind what you’re experiencing and leave therapy with tools that actually translate to real life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly about getting the full picture. I want to understand you before we decide where we’re going. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your history, relationships, current stressors, hobbies, interests, values, and what you’d like to change. From there, we’ll identify goals and work to develop a treatment plan that actually fits you.
