Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Anne. I have been a therapist for 10 years and as a career changer, I can honestly say I love my job. I became a therapist to help others understand why we respond the way we do and feel less burdened by emotions and difficult life circumstances. For my day job, I have been working in college counseling for several years and I love supporting high achieving teens and young adults (16-30s), especially as it relates to anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and how their overlap affects overall functioning.

My approach to therapy

My training in evidence based practices enables me to further assist my clients in investigating core beliefs and patterns and acquiring the tools necessary to create a healthy narrative about themselves and their lives. I genuinely believe symptom reduction is possible for anyone willing to participate and self-examine. I am also IFS (internal family systems) certified and enjoy incorporating this into my work.

What you can expect from me

I genuinely enjoy working with people and consider myself very relatable. I also have a background in improvisational comedy and find that — when appropriate — the use of humor can be a therapeutic tool in and of itself. I firmly believe therapy is both a time and money commitment, and I do like to end sessions with focused "touch points" (I avoid the word "homework") to either try out or reflect on outside of sessions, as I believe the majority of the work happens outside of session time.
