Great to meet you!

I got my MS from VCU and earned my LPC and certification in addiction. For many years, I worked at a nonprofit specifically focused on clients with physical/sexual abuse and human trafficking. I strongly feeI no trauma too large or small; everything is unique to each individual and their personal experiences.

Nonprofit has made my client population very diverse and I work with all races, religions, genders, sexualities, etc. I work primarily with adults and teens.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My background includes anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation, self-esteem, difficult relationships, adjustment issues, sexual and domestic violence, and addiction.

My approach is integrative, combining evidence-based practices with a compassionate, client-centered focus. Whether I use EMDR, parts work (IFS), or any other modalities depends on you and we will work collaboratively on your treatment planning.

I am passionate about working with others on resilience and growth.

What you can expect from our first session

Our sessions won't feel like 'just check-ins' where little growth happens. They are collaborative, the ultimate goal is feel comfortable and safe while doing this work.

There are a LOT of acronyms for modalities therapists use that can be confusing or overwhelming (ACT, DBT, CBT, etc.). Research indicates there are a few universal factors that improve treatment goals--most importantly the relationship between therapist and client. Let's find what will help YOU move forward and make progress.
