Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist with over 30 years of experience in guiding individuals through life’s most challenging moments, including struggles with depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, family conflicts, and developing coping skills. I am deeply committed to empowering clients through a culturally and spiritually integrated approach that centers around the Alternative Christ-Like African Thematic Therapy (ACLATT) model. ACLATT is a unique therapeutic model I developed specifically to support Christian clients of African descent. It integrates Christian values with African principles, providing a holistic, culturally sensitive healing experience. This approach emphasizes identity, love, faith, and hope, helping clients recognize their God-given potential and fostering a strong sense of purpose. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, supporting them in reframing perspectives and developing practical coping strategies. My work is rooted in the belief that “Being precedes Doing”—by understanding one’s identity in Christ, clients are empowered to realize their gifts and purpose, which enriches their actions and overall well-being. Whether working with individuals, families, or couples, I am committed to helping clients achieve emotional healing, spiritual growth, and lasting transformation aligned with their cultural and spiritual values.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have developed a unique therapy model, ACLATT (Alternative Christ-Like African Thematic Therapy), which blends Christian values with African principles, creating a holistic and spiritually rich healing experience. This approach allows me to address not only the emotional and mental aspects of well-being but also the spiritual and cultural dimensions, which can be crucial for lasting transformation. Additionally, my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) enables me to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, equipping them with practical tools to manage daily struggles and cultivate resilience. My focus on love, faith, and hope helps clients reconnect with their God-given potential and build a strong foundation for healing and growth. My clients can trust that they’ll be met with empathy, cultural understanding, and a deep respect for their spiritual journey.

What you can expect from our first session

In our first session, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. We’ll take the time to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and any specific challenges you’re facing, whether they’re related to depression, anxiety, grief, or family dynamics. I want to hear what has brought you to this point and what you hope to achieve in our work together. During this session, I’ll introduce you to my unique approach, the Alternative Christ-Like African Thematic Therapy (ACLATT), which integrates Christian values with African principles. We’ll discuss how this approach, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), can support your journey, focusing on identity, love, faith, and hope as key elements of healing. I’ll also encourage you to ask questions, share any concerns, and let me know what feels important to you in a therapeutic relationship. This first session is about building a foundation of trust, so we can move forward in a way that feels aligned with your values and goals. By the end, we’ll have a clearer idea of how we can work together to support your healing and growth.
