Great to meet you!

I earned my Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University and have been independently licensed for over 15 years. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in both clinical and leadership roles, giving me a well-rounded understanding of mental health care and how to support clients through real-life challenges with practical, effective strategies.

My experience includes working as a therapist in a children’s behavioral health hospital, where I supported children and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral concerns. I’ve also served as a Director of Social Services, providing clinical leadership, program development, and oversight while staying closely connected to direct client care.

These experiences have shaped my thoughtful, solution-focused approach to therapy. I balance compassion with practicality, helping clients build on their strengths while developing tools that create meaningful, lasting change. I believe growth happens when clients feel understood, respected, and supported at a pace that feels right for them.

I am currently independently licensed and practicing in Kentucky and Kansas.

My approach to therapy

  • I focus on what’s possible, not just what’s painful. We’ll acknowledge what’s hard and spend time identifying strengths, resources, and small, realistic steps that move you toward what you want.
  • You’re the expert on your life. I won’t tell you who you are or what you should do. My role is to collaborate with you, ask thoughtful questions, and help you notice what’s already working—sometimes in ways you haven’t seen yet.
  • We start where you are, not where you think you “should” be. Whether you’re feeling stuck, unsure, overwhelmed, or cautiously hopeful, we work from your current reality without judgment or pressure to change faster than you’re ready for.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and understood.

We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you hope might be different as a result of our work together. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say—part of the process is sorting that out together.

I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and what’s already working in your life. We’ll also review important information such as confidentiality, therapy policies, and any questions you have about the process.
