Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialization in trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. I began my counseling career as a School Counselor, working for five and a half years across diverse communities in Georgia before transitioning into private practice. My background allows me to support clients across the lifespan, with a deep understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental challenges that can arise in different life stages. I earned my bachelor's degree in Art History, African Studies, and Psychology from the College of Charleston and completed my Master’s of Education in School Counseling from the University of Virginia. I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate issues such as self-esteem challenges, anxiety, trauma, depression, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect. I view you as the expert in your own life, and I see my role as a supportive guide in your healing journey. I integrate Humanistic principles with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based practices, and Solution-Focused techniques to create a personalized and effective therapeutic experience. My focus is on helping you clarify your values, build emotional resilience, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace, always within a nonjudgmental, supportive space.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel heard, respected, and supported as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Each session is tailored to your needs and goals, with a focus on building insight, strengthening coping strategies, and fostering a sense of empowerment. Whether you’re working through trauma, grief, anxiety, or simply trying to better understand yourself, my aim is to help you reconnect with your inner strength and resilience in a safe and affirming environment. Over time, clients often report increased emotional clarity, improved self-esteem, and greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
