Great to meet you!

I work with adults and older adults who are managing the emotional side of something physically demanding, a chronic diagnosis, a health scare, the postpartum period, or the slow accumulation of caring for a body that isn't cooperating. Depression in these contexts is common, but it's also often invisible to the people around you. I'm not here to push gratitude or silver linings. I'm here to help you process what's actually happening and build something more sustainable on the other side.

My approach to therapy

My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and health psychology, meaning I'm trained in how the mind and body interact, not just the emotional piece in isolation. I tailor each session to you: some clients want concrete tools and strategies; others need space to process and be heard. Most need both, depending on the week. I don't use a one-size script. I pay close attention to what's working, what isn't, and where the real leverage is for you specifically.

What you can expect from me

I like to start with expectations and ground rules to create a safe space for both of us. I like to discuss conversational styles, situations where I might need to break confidentiality. I also like to discuss what outcomes are desired and at what pace you are comfortable with. I am fine with unstructured conversation and thoughts, following you where your heart and thoughts take you. I also am aware that we don't live in a vacuum- social, family, body pressures all matter in a therapy setting.
