Great to meet you!

“If you’re ready to heal, reduce stress, and rediscover your peace, you’re in the right place. Be intentional about your healing journey so you can live the life you deserve.”

I’m Annetta Thomas, owner and psychotherapist of Purposely BE, LLC (PBLLC). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), mental health advocate, life coach, and proud mother to a princess. My journey to becoming a therapist was both personal and purposeful. Though I once imagined becoming a doctor, my true calling emerged when I discovered the power of psychology and healing. I believe that resilience and healing are within reach for everyone.

I consider it a privilege to hold space for others during their most vulnerable moments. My goal is to help clients rediscover peace, clarity, and confidence as they navigate life’s challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in authenticity. I integrate evidence-based techniques to include Brainspotting, trauma-informed care, and holistic wellness practices to help clients process emotional pain, strengthen boundaries, and move toward personal growth.

I honor the unique experiences of women of color, high-performing professionals, and those working in high-stress environments, helping them navigate issues such as anxiety, burnout, trauma, grief, and relationship challenges. I believe therapy should feel both grounding and empowering, creating space for honesty, self-reflection, and transformation.

As I often remind clients, even resilient people still need people. Healing is not a solo journey, it’s a partnership built on trust, compassion, and intentional growth.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a safe, judgment-free space to simply exhale. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin developing a personalized plan that supports your emotional, physical, and mental well-being. You can expect warmth, curiosity, and genuine connection, without pretense, no pressure.

My aim is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, knowing that you’ve taken a meaningful step toward peace and a better quality of life.
