I have over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety and relationship issues. I am Trained by The Linehan Institute/Behavioral Tech. (12/8/14-12/12/14) in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT adapts CBT to assist patients to gain skills such as mindfulness. Mindfulness is an evidence based practice that promotes presence and self awareness. I have seen personally and professionally the direct benefits mindfulness has in reducing anxiety, self doubt, and overthinking. It helps to improve emotion regulation along with emotional and behavioral control or distress tolerance.
