Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Annie and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I specialize in working with teens, adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community and will always support and show up for my clients. As a queer person, I know what it's like to feel unsure if I will be accepted in a new space. I am dedicated to providing a safe environment for us to work through all of life’s challenges.

My approach to therapy

I use a trauma-informed approach and recognize the impact relationships and life events can have on an individual’s well-being, sense of safety, and sense of self. As a collaborative and humanistic therapist, I will always work to understand your unique experiences to best ensure you are getting what you need from our time together!

I come from an arts background and love incorporating expressive-arts-based interventions into our work together. Whether it’s through drawing, journaling, or curating a playlist, I believe creativity can be a powerful and healing therapeutic tool (but only if you want!)

What you can expect from me

Our first session together will look a little different from a standard therapy session. Together, we will go over your intake forms to get a better idea into your hopes for therapy. It is also a great time to ask any questions you have for me or about the therapeutic process. After our session, I encourage my clients to take some time to make sure this feels like the right fit. It is so important that you feel safe and connected to your therapist before moving forward.
