Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Annisha Dunaway. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I come to this work not only from training but from a lifetime of experience—as a veteran, military spouse, mother, daughter, and sister. I understand firsthand how challenging life can be—how deeply we all need support that is compassionate, judgment-free, and motivating. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to keep moving forward. Your story matters here, and I’m here to walk alongside you—no judgment, just honest, supportive partnership.

My approach to therapy

When you schedule a session with me, it’ll feel like talking with a trusted friend. You lead each session—you decide what to bring and what to explore. I'll be right beside you—curious and attentive—offering observations and questions to help you view things from new perspectives. Everyone has strengths, though sometimes we overlook them, and obstacles can distort how we see ourselves. My role is to help you uncover and use your strengths, gently remove barriers, and create a different path forward—all without judgment and with deep belief in your ability to grow.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a personal journey, but many clients leave sessions with:

  • Clarity – A better understanding of yourself and your patterns.
  • Relief – A safe place to share your feelings without judgment.
  • Tools – Practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, or other challenges.
  • Stronger Communication – Skills to express yourself and set healthy boundaries.
  • New Perspectives – Fresh ways of looking at problems and finding solutions.
  • Progress – Steps toward your personal goals and a more fulfilling life.
  • Confidence – A stronger belief in your ability to navigate challenges.
