Great to meet you!

I'm Annita Coburn, LMFT and founder of Enlighten Healing. I help clients reconnect with their values and learn to live on purpose, with purpose. My approach blends neuroscience, mindfulness, and ACT to support healing in mind, body, and spirit. As a veteran, mother, and woman of color, I offer a grounded, inclusive space to explore patterns, process emotions, and find new freedom. Whether through traditional talk therapy or outdoor sessions like Therapy in the Park, I’ll support you with tools that are both practical and profound. You don’t have to be perfect — just present. We'll grow from there.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, curious, and grounded in science. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and neurobiology to help you observe your patterns, manage your emotions, and live more intentionally. Therapy with me is not about fixing you — it's about helping you understand your mind and body so you can make choices aligned with your values. I blend practical tools, creative strategies, and a deep respect for your story.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive space to share your story at your pace. I’ll ask a few thoughtful questions to understand what brings you to therapy and what matters most to you. We’ll talk about your goals and clarify what you’d like to change or understand better. It’s a collaborative start, not a test — no pressure to say the “right” thing. You’ll leave with a better sense of how I work and whether this feels like a safe place for your healing.
