Great to meet you!

I’m Annmarie O’Connell, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through some of life’s toughest moments. My background is rooted in community mental health, where I’ve worked with people from all walks of life dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.

I’m also trained in Brainspotting, a powerful therapeutic technique that taps into the brain-body connection to help clients process and release deeply held emotional pain. This approach, along with my real-world experience, allows me to support clients in a holistic, meaningful way. My work is deeply personal to me—because I’ve experienced firsthand how life-changing therapy can be.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy starts with connection. I meet clients exactly where they are, creating a safe and supportive space where they can feel seen, heard, and valued. I’m not here to “fix” you—I’m here to walk with you, to help you understand yourself more fully, and to support your growth as you reconnect with your authentic self.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trust. Whether we’re unpacking long-standing patterns or navigating a current crisis, I hold space for vulnerability while helping you move forward at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling lighter, more grounded, and more in touch with themselves. You can expect to gain tools to manage difficult emotions, clarity around your patterns and triggers, and greater confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.

Together, we’ll explore your story, uncover your strengths, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been lost or silenced. My goal is to help you feel empowered, not just in session—but in your everyday life.
