Great to meet you!

With 25+ years of clinical experience, I have developed a broad perspective working with individuals, on a variety of issues, including: anxiety/stress, relationship/intimacy concerns (both with intimate partners & friends), adjustment & life transitions, self-esteem/self-acceptance, depression, grief/loss, managing change, among other presenting concerns.

My approach to therapy

My practice focuses on helping individuals understand how current crises/struggles are connected to existing emotional & behavioral patterns. Gaining insight & increasing self-awareness are helpful in developing new coping strategies & tools that promote personal growth, greater satisfaction & fulfillment in life. My perspective is strengths-based & works within a framework of the values of my clients.

What you can expect from me

In the initial session, I begin to develop a therapeutic relationship, as a good fit is essential in developing a satisfying and successful therapy experience. I gather information to understand one's presenting concerns, we assess together how they are interfering with one's optimal level of functioning and begin to identify short term goals. At the end of the session, we discuss how the session has gone, to determine if working with me is the right fit and next steps.
