Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field. I believe mental health care should feel supportive, collaborative, and empowering. I take a whole-person approach, recognizing the strong connection between emotional and physical well-being.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and stress-related challenges. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and solution-focused. I combine thoughtful medication management with practical coping strategies and education, ensuring you understand your options and feel confident in your treatment plan.

My strength lies in listening carefully, building trust, and creating a safe space where you can speak openly. Together, we will develop realistic goals and a plan that supports meaningful, lasting change. My 25 years of experience across diverse healthcare settings allow me to bring both clinical knowledge and real-world understanding to support each patient’s unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that effective mental health treatment begins with truly listening and understanding each person’s unique experiences, challenges, and goals.

I take a whole-person approach, recognizing the connection between mental and physical health. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual and may include thoughtful medication management, psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies. I prioritize shared decision-making so you feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in your care.

Above all, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where healing, growth, and meaningful change can take place.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space. My priority is getting to know you—your concerns, your history, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from treatment.

We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes discussing your current symptoms, past mental and medical history, medications, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatment experiences. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand the full picture, but you are always encouraged to share at your own comfort level.

By the end of the session, we will review my initial impressions and discuss treatment options, which may include therapy recommendations, coping strategies, or medication if appropriate. Most importantly, we will begin building a collaborative plan that aligns with your goals and helps you feel confident about the next steps.
