Great to meet you!

Before becoming a therapist I worked in education for 15 years and served as a mentor to both teachers and students during that time. It was my work mentoring LGBTQIA+ adolescents that led to me going back to school to earn my master's degree in counseling.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a holistic and strength based approach to therapy which means that I am interested in you as an entire person and that I want to help you find the strength inside yourself that you may not realize is already there. As the client, I feel that you should control the pace of our sessions and should always feel comfortable and safe, even when discussing uncomfortable things.

What you can expect from me

A typical first session with me is primarily about building rapport and seeing if we are a good fit for one another. As we get to know one another, I want to hear your story and learn more about what has brought you to counseling.
