Great to meet you!

I have recently become licensed as an LCSW, however, I have over 20+ years in SUD and addictive behaviors as a person in long term recovery. I have worked in the treatment/behavioral health industry for over 15 years. I have been extensively immersed in DBT while working at my previous employer and have worked with those with dual diagnoses (SUD/mental health). I have been trained in all of the therapeutic approaches in my profile while working as a CSW prior to gaining full licensure.

My approach to therapy

I use a levels of validation approach when meeting with clients for the first time and also highlight that clients are doing the best that they can, and they can do better.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect Information gathering: We will discuss their history, current struggles, and symptoms. I would then like to determine what goals you have for therapy. We will talk about what you want to change in your life; and lastly we will review logistics: I will review privacy rules, fees, and cancellation policies.
