Great to meet you!

I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a retired US Army Chaplain. I hold licensure in three states: Texas, South Carolina, and Florida. My extensive experience is in helping clients with various traumas, dissociation, and abuse using EMDR therapy. You will be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Tailoring our dialogue and treatment plan to your specific needs is paramount. Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling, happier life takes courage. You will be supported in that process.

My approach to therapy

No doubt, life can be hard and strip away our self-worth, hope, compassion for others, and our ability to find joy and happiness. At times, we can effectively resolve issues on our own; at other times, the help of a compassionate, professionally trained therapist can make a significant difference in our lives. So long as you have "hope," are willing to do some "work," and trust the "process," I feel confident that together we can reach your therapeutic goals.

What you can expect from me

As with physical healing, lasting transformation takes time. We recommend at least once-a-week sessions. Our counseling hour lasts 45 to 50 minutes, so be ready to work from the beginning. However, trust and the therapeutic relationship take time to build. While change began the moment you determined to reach out for pastoral care, expect the beginnings of lasting change to come along with many hours of hard work. Self-awareness and self-acceptance are goals that sometimes take a long time to achieve.
