Great to meet you!

I’m Tony Moore, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and youth through trauma, crisis, and major life transitions. I’ve worked in community, medical, and correctional settings, which has shaped my calm, grounded, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy. I specialize in trauma-informed care, substance use treatment, and helping people navigate high-stress or complex situations. In our work together, I focus on building trust, meeting you where you are, and using practical, evidence-based tools to support meaningful change. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in respect for each person’s lived experience. I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported while we explore challenges together. I use evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and skills-based interventions to help clients build insight, coping strategies, and resilience. I believe in meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their goals, culture, and strengths. Throughout the process, I emphasize empowerment, accountability, and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and creating a safe, comfortable space for you to share what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask intake questions about your current concerns, personal history, mental health symptoms, coping strategies, and any past therapy or treatment experiences. We’ll also review important topics such as confidentiality, informed consent, and your goals for therapy. I may ask about stressors, supports, substance use, and safety to better understand how to support you. By the end of the session, we’ll begin outlining a plan that feels collaborative and aligned with your needs.
