Great to meet you!

My journey in the counseling field began after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice at Caldwell University. I was then inspired to pursue and complete my counselor education, earning a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Specialization at Caldwell University once more. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I also have my Nationally Certified Counselor national certification. I have over half a decade of experience within the counseling field, ranging from work amongst various populations. I have experience with individuals within various life stages including geriatric, adulthood, young adults, and adolescents. I am familiar with and have worked in various settings including Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Intensive In – Community levels of care targeted for mental health challenges. I have experience working with individuals with a variety of different challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, adjustments, trauma/PTSD, substance abuse, anger issues, LGBTQ+ issues and others, in both individual and group settings.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person – Centered Therapy, Emotional Regulation, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness Practices. Depending on the needs of the individual, appropriate adjustments can be implemented. It is my intention to utilize these approaches to assist individuals in navigating their emotional challenges in working collectively.

What you can expect from me

I aim from the first appointment session to create an inclusive and safe environment for my clients to share and work as openly as possible. My clients can expect that when working with me to share past therapeutic experiences to help understand prior goals and outcome measurements. In addition, review intake documentation to confirm current needs, appropriate level of care, interest in engaging in therapy, and formulate collectively pertinent goals for their treatment. I also encourage my clients in the first appointment to ask me questions, as I understand choosing a provider is a very important decision!
