Great to meet you!

I am an independently licensed clinical social worker providing telehealth psychotherapy to adults in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Before entering private practice, I spent approximately eight years working across inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric admissions, community-based behavioral health, and academic medical settings. These experiences shaped my ability to understand both immediate concerns and the deeper emotional, relational, and systemic patterns affecting a person’s life.

I commonly work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, and major life transitions. Many of my clients appear capable and responsible on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, self-critical, or caught in patterns that have followed them for years. My practice is affirming of LGBTQ+ clients and welcoming of people from varied backgrounds and life experiences.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, direct, inquisitive, and emotionally engaged. I do more than listen passively: I ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns, and may respectfully challenge interpretations shaped by shame, self-criticism, fear, or rigid expectations.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and tailored to the individual. Our work may draw from attachment-based, experiential, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance-based approaches. Together, we will look beneath immediate problems to understand the emotional meanings and relational patterns influencing how you experience yourself, respond to others, and move through your life.

The goal is not simply to reduce symptoms. It is to develop greater clarity, flexibility, self-trust, and the ability to make choices that feel more intentional and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a thoughtful conversation about what brought you to therapy, what feels most important now, and what you hope might change. I will ask about your current concerns, significant relationships, relevant history, strengths, and previous experiences with treatment.

You do not need to arrive with a perfectly organized story or carefully prepared answers. I do not expect you to have everything already understood or neatly explained—understanding it is part of the work.

By the end of the session, we will begin identifying the central concerns and patterns that may deserve attention, discuss initial goals, and consider whether my approach feels like the right fit for you. You can expect me to be engaged, candid, curious, and attentive to both what is happening now and what may be occurring beneath the surface.
