Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor and counselor educator with extensive experience working with adults across a variety of mental health concerns and life challenges. In addition to my clinical work, I have spent much of my career educating and supervising counselors, which continues to shape the thoughtful and intentional approach I bring to my work with clients.

My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship and interpersonal concerns, and LGBTQ+ issues. I work from an integrative approach and tailor treatment to the individual rather than assuming that one approach works for everyone.

My approach to therapy

I believe counseling should provide a space where you can be open and honest without feeling judged. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and direct. I want clients to feel heard and understood, while also feeling appropriately challenged to recognize patterns, consider new perspectives, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

I view counseling as a partnership. We will work together to identify what you would like to change, better understand what may be getting in the way, build on the strengths you already have, and develop practical strategies that can help you move toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and talking about what brought you to counseling and what you hope to gain from the experience. You do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. Together, we will identify your needs, strengths, and goals and begin developing an approach that feels right for you. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where you feel supported and able to be open and honest.
