Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and finding someone you feel comfortable talking to is incredibly important. I’m Antonette Ross, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

I primarily work with adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stressed, stuck, or simply trying to navigate changes in their lives and relationships. Sometimes you know exactly what is bothering you, and other times you may just know that you haven’t been feeling like yourself. Either way, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

My experience spans private practice, behavioral health care management, crisis intervention, and other clinical settings. More than anything, I believe in meeting people where they are and helping them recognize their strengths, find greater balance, and move toward a life that feels healthier and more fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

I believe the most meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely comfortable with your therapist. My style is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and down to earth. I want our sessions to feel like a safe place where you can be yourself, talk openly about what is happening in your life, and know that you will be met with understanding rather than judgment.

I use approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, and supportive psychotherapy, while tailoring our work to your individual needs. We may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, or behaviors, while also developing practical strategies you can use outside of therapy.

You are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, help you gain new perspectives, build on your strengths, and support you in making changes that feel meaningful and realistic.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know one another. There is no pressure to tell your entire story or have everything figured out. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult lately, and what you hope to get from our time together.

I’ll ask questions to better understand you and your experiences, but I also want you to feel comfortable asking questions and getting a sense of whether I am the right therapist for you. We’ll begin identifying your goals and what support might be most helpful moving forward.

Most importantly, I want you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful that you have someone in your corner as you begin this process.
