Great to meet you!

I’m Anwuri or "Dr. O"! I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, executive functioning challenges, chronic stress, health-related concerns, life transitions, and big emotions. My approach is practical, developmental, neuroscience-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming. I focus on understanding how someone’s brain works, what is getting in the way, and what support is most likely to help.

I am not currently accepting new ongoing therapy clients through Headway. Outside of Headway, my practice is increasingly focused on psychological assessment, consultation, groups, education, and training. Therapy with me is active, practical, and collaborative. I draw from CBT, ACT, exposure-based approaches, executive functioning skill-building, parent consultation and developmentally informed strategies for neurodivergent children, teens, and adults.

I also have a background in health psychology and work with the intersection of attention, emotion, chronic illness, pain, stress, and the cognitive demands that come with major health or life changes. Across all of this, I use what I call the Sticky Brain approach: helping people understand why thoughts, emotions, habits, or routines get stuck and building tools that help the brain move forward.

My style is warm, direct, and practical. I want clients to understand the “why,” but also leave with tools they can actually use.

You can expect a collaborative, goal-focused approach that balances insight with practical change. We’ll identify what matters most, understand the patterns keeping you stuck, and build strategies that fit your actual brain and actual life.

My therapy work is structured and goal-directed rather than open-ended, with an emphasis on building skills, increasing confidence, and helping clients move toward greater independence.
