Great to meet you!

Are you a Christian woman experiencing emotional distress after a hard breakup, divorce, or Narcissistic abuse? Are you looking for support but feeling judged by your faith community? Do you have self-condemning thoughts and doubt your value and worth but WANT to have positive feelings toward yourself? Together, we can evaluate and dispute negative thoughts and beliefs, resolve spiritual crises, break trauma bonds, and find acceptance for realities unlikely to change.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I help clients identify and resolve sources of emotional distress. I use Christ-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to help clients evaluate their thoughts for truth and find acceptance for realities that are not likely to change. I enjoy accompanying trauma clients on the journey of healing through exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy. I encourage clients to increase their knowledge of God’s grace and further realize their identity in Christ.

What you can expect from our first session

My therapy is very goal-directed. Clients should expect to do therapy work between sessions. I provide a safe, therapeutic environment to work through mental health issues. I am compassionate but direct, and love helping clients grow in grace. Judgment and criticism are avoided. Areas of focus include trauma, depression, anxiety, fear, anger, guilt, grief, shame, stress, codependency, forgiveness, self-esteem, relationship loss/divorce, and crises of faith. I only work with women for individual therapy. Sorry, I do not treat men, children/teens, or couples.
