Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia, a Resident Professional Counselor in Virginia, and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-S in Virginia. I have more than 37 years of experience supporting adults who are navigating substance use disorders and other mental health challenges. I bring warmth, wisdom, and compassion to my work, and I strive to create a space where clients feel supported, respected, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and informed by my current studies in Compassionate Inquiry. I help clients explore the patterns that shape their experiences, better understand themselves, and move toward meaningful change. I believe each person is unique, so I meet clients where they are and tailor my approach to fit their needs, goals, and life experiences.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive and thoughtful space where they feel heard and understood. My goal is to help clients build insight, strengthen resilience, and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Through our work together, I hope clients leave sessions feeling more empowered, more self-aware, and more confident in their ability to create lasting change.
