Great to meet you!

I am a trauma-certified Marriage and Family therapist, specializing in working with adults who have childhood and/or attachment-based trauma/neglect/aversities/wounding. My goal is to provide a safe enough space, (which is determined by you and at the pace you feel comfortable with), to understand how those early relational experiences and general adversities can shape one’s worldview, core-beliefs, mental health, relationship to the self, and external relationships in adulthood.

A bit about my approach to therapy

When working with you, I will be coming from a trauma informed, developmental, humanistic and holistic lens. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. I also incorporate self-compassion, parts work, and somatic based interventions to help work towards reconnecting the whole Self.

What you can expect from our first session

I will be asking you “where are you feeling that in your body.” Yes, I know it is cliché, however, oftentimes our emotions become our enemies. Learning to acknowledge them, accept them, listen to them, and work with them is important in reconnecting the mind and the body. I understand this is scary and I will work with you in developing your relationship with your body and your emotions at your own pace.
