Great to meet you!

My name is April Haley-Wilson, and I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Harding University in Psychology in 1996. I completed my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University online in June of 2020. I have experience working with pre-teens, adolescents, couples, individuals, and families, as they struggle to manage relationships and life stressors. I specialize in self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, work stress, trauma, family conflict, blended family dynamics, and strengthening couple relationships.

My approach to therapy

Since all individuals and families are unique, I use various therapeutic modalities and a holistic approach to support them throughout their journey of growth and healing. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients who have experienced trauma, PTSD, and other stress-related issues. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and other therapy models into my work with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families.

What you can expect from me

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I'm passionate about providing a safe space of nonjudgmental support and guidance to help clients through their difficult storms. I strive to empower clients by providing them with the tools and resources they need to set achievable goals and make positive changes in their lives.
