Great to meet you!

Meet the Founder of Learn to Rise Counseling

At Learn to Rise Counseling, I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, heal, and thrive, regardless of the challenges they may be facing. Founded in 2021, Learn to Rise Counseling was created to provide a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where children, adolescents, and adults can navigate life's challenges and work toward meaningful change.

As a mental health professional, I have experience supporting individuals through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, emotional difficulties, and major life transitions. My professional background includes working on an adult and child crisis unit in Florida, where I gained valuable experience helping individuals and families navigate difficult situations. I also had the privilege of being part of one of the leading Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) teams at RAF Mildenhall, an Air Force base in England. These experiences strengthened my commitment to helping individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journeys.

My path to becoming a therapist has also been shaped by my experience playing college basketball in Chicago. Through athletics, I developed a strong appreciation for discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and resilience. These values continue to influence my approach to counseling and my belief that growth is possible even during life's most difficult seasons.

My approach to therapy

At Learn to Rise Counseling, I strive to meet each client where they are and recognize that every individual has unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Whether a child is experiencing behavioral challenges, a teenager is struggling emotionally, or an adult is navigating anxiety, depression, or life changes, my goal is to help clients develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and discover practical ways to move forward.

I believe counseling is not about having all the answers; it is about creating the space to explore, learn, heal, and grow. You do not have to face life's challenges alone.

At Learn to Rise Counseling, we believe that with support, courage, and the willingness to grow, you can learn to rise above life's challenges and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling future.
