Great to meet you!

I provide Group as well as Individual and Couples Therapy. As you consider individual therapy, also consider the benefits of the group therapy experience. Through the group process, you can find and supportive and healing community.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, affirming, nonjudgmental, and highly attuned to who you are and where you are in your life. I seek to engage with you on the personal, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual levels, connecting your identity to your lived experiences. I also acknowledge and affirm the parts of your being where you may have experienced discrimination, marginalization, and oppression. My focus is on healing and resilience in mind, body, and spirit.

I have two upcoming groups:

Surviving Black Grief: A Loss and Bereavement Group for Black Folks. A 6-session, 90-minute virtual group, designed to provide support and coping skills for Black-identified individuals dealing with loss and bereavement. The group meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The next cycle begins Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and ends on October 28, 2025. Registration/intake closes 9/17/25.

Africana Resiliency Huddle

A 12-session virtual group for Black Identified adults addressing the interaction of emotional distress, depression, and anxiety with racial, cultural, and historical trauma, to foster resilience, strengthen interpersonal connections, and enhance coping skills. The group meets on Thursdays, 6 - 7:30 pm. The fall cycle will run from September 25, 2025, through December 13, 2025. And the registration deadline is 9/21/2025.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, you can expect to discover a greater knowledge and appreciation of your personhood, your lived experience, and your strengths. You can also expect to find both internal and external resources for healing and growth. At times, the work we do together will not be easy, and the growth and the rewards will be as invaluable and worth it as you are!
