Great to meet you!

Many adults come to therapy wondering, "What's wrong with me?" I believe a more helpful question is, "What has shaped my experience, and what makes sense about the way I think, feel, and respond?" Lasting change begins with understanding yourself—not fixing yourself.

I have a special passion for working with neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD, autism, and AuDHD, as well as adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Whether you've spent years masking, feeling misunderstood, or believing you simply needed to "try harder," therapy can be a place to better understand yourself with curiosity and compassion instead of self-criticism.

I earned my Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and bring over 10 years of clinical experience supporting adults with a wide range of mental health challenges, including serious mental illness (SMI), trauma, anxiety, and depression. These experiences have strengthened my belief that healing happens in relationships where people feel genuinely seen, respected, and accepted without judgment.

My goal is to help you understand how your mind, emotions, nervous system, and experiences shape the way you move through the world so we can build practical strategies that fit your life—not someone else's expectations. I believe therapy isn't about becoming a different person; it's about understanding yourself more deeply so you can live more authentically, navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it begins with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we'll work to better understand your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences—not to determine what's "wrong" with you, but to discover what makes sense about your experiences and how we can use that understanding to create meaningful change.

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming. I recognize that each person brings unique strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and psychoeducation. Whether we're working with ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, or another life challenge, my goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms—it's to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself while building practical skills that support lasting growth.

I believe meaningful change happens when we stop working against ourselves and begin learning how to work with ourselves. Therapy is a place to build self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence so you can navigate life in a way that aligns with who you are and what matters most to you..

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've never worked with a therapist before or you're unsure where to begin. My goal during our first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood.

We'll spend time getting to know one another as we explore what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope life might look like if things felt a little easier. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, but there's no pressure to have all the answers or share everything at once. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to get to know me. You're encouraged to ask questions, share what's important to you, and decide whether I feel like the right fit. By the end of our session, we'll begin identifying your goals and develop a plan for moving forward together.

My hope is that you'll leave feeling not only supported, but with a greater sense of hope, clarity, and the reassurance that you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
