Great to meet you!

My Passion:

April is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges. Having witnessed the impact of addiction, depression, and mental health struggles within her own family, she brings deep compassion, understanding, and empathy to her work. April believes that counseling is more than a profession—it is a calling. She is committed to providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can heal, grow, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

As your counselor I will create an environment that is safe for you to be honest and open. I promise to develop a relationship of trust, transparency and authenticity. I will have a sense of humor while challenging you. I will guide you with love and compassion into self-discovery and behavioral insight. I will use traditional counseling techniques, education, along with deeper spiritual connection in order to facilitate the healing process. I want to teach you to fish, not fish for you.

What you can expect from me

During our first session together, we will do a brief overview of the last 5-10 years and your goals for counseling. You will feel safe to express any emotion or thought without my prejudice. You will be free from pressure to follow one course of action rather than another. We will simply discuss your options and I will help navigate what you believe is best for you.
