Hi there!
My name is April Young and I'm a dually licensed counselor (LPCC-S, MFT) and hold 2 certifications - Prepare/Enrich and Brain Health Professional with Dr. Daniel Amen. I love working with young adults and up and specialize in relationship issues. I also work often with anxiety, depression, and chronic health.
I bring a lot of psychoeducation to my sessions. My clients love being able to understand why their brain and body are reacting or doing the things that they are doing. I have found that when a client can understand the connections they feel more empowered to make the changes to reach their goals.
Clients will learn the science behind how their brain/body works to impact their mental health and how they can take back control of their life and functioning. I'll teach, guide, and offer feedback and suggestions as I walk with you towards your goals.
