Great to meet you!

My name is Arcelia Emerson, before becoming a counselor, I spent many years in the corporate world working in the oil and gas industry. My own personal experience with EMDR and the impact therapy had on my life ultimately inspired me to pursue counseling as a second career. It is one that I am deeply passionate about.

I work with clients of all ages experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, TBI, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck. I believe we are shaped by our experiences, relationships, challenges, and the ways we have learned to cope along the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and individualized. I meet clients where they are, help them better understand the experiences and patterns influencing their lives today, and work alongside them to develop practical tools for meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to learn more about what brings you to counseling. We’ll talk about what has been going on in your life, what you hope to gain from counseling, and begin setting goals together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll start where you are, figure out what feels most important to work on, and go from there together.
