Great to meet you!

Hello. My name is Arcell Bodden. I received my Bachelor’s of Arts in psychology from the University of New Orleans and my Master’s of Education with a focus in counseling from Texas Southern University. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Louisiana and I am also board certified by The National Board for Certified Counselors (NCC). I have 15 years of experience working with clients dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self esteem, substance abuse, and anger.

My approach to therapy

I believe in treating everyone with respect, and compassion, and with a no judgment approach. My approach also includes cognitive-behavioral therapy and client centered therapy. As we build the client-therapist relationship we will work together in developing a plan for success.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get acquainted and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can openly discuss your concerns, life experiences, and goals. Together, we’ll explore what is bringing you to therapy and identify practical steps toward positive change.

My approach combines client-centered therapy and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthy coping strategies. By the end of our first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapy process, initial treatment goals, and a plan for moving forward at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
