Great to meet you!

I believe one of the most beautiful things about being human is our ability to be vulnerable. In vulnerability, we create space to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. I have learned that when we slow down long enough to truly check in with ourselves, we often discover the most amazing person waiting to be seen...YOU!

Many of us move through life disconnected from who we are, and this disconnection often reveals itself across our relationships, work, and overall wellbeing. Learning to identify our needs and take responsibility for getting those needs met is one of the most meaningful forms of self-awareness and growth.

Much of the work I feel honored to do centers around creating a safe space where people can land mentally and emotionally. I understand the unique complexities many individuals, particularly within Black and Brown communities, face when navigating emotional pain, healing, and asking for support. Therapy is not weakness. Choosing healing requires courage.

My approach to therapy

With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Edison provides a compassionate and culturally responsive space where clients can safely explore their experiences without judgment. She believes healing begins when individuals learn to identify their needs, communicate authentically, and recognize that emotional wellness is their responsibility.

Her philosophy is simple: when we divinely heal from past hurts, we become whole...and from wholeness, wellness follows.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation. While I use a trauma-informed approach to understand what brings you to therapy, I’m equally interested in getting to know the person in front of me, not simply a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. We’ll explore your story, the experiences that have shaped you, and the pain or patterns that may be keeping you emotionally stuck. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be authentic, understood, and curious about yourself. From there, we’ll begin identifying what you need to heal, grow, and move forward.
